When Money calls...

...me and Cates answer.

When you're offered a whole pile of money to go and skate a mini ramp in a field in Lincolnshire for two days, it's hard to say no. We got the train up there and stayed in a pimped out garage in a b&b.

There was a lot of stuff like this there.

All we had to do was skate three times for 20mins during the day. Rad moves like this went down.

There was loads of random shit there like the army, free wine booths, racing pigs, chainsaw dudes.

Slam City Skates Tapas Party

Last thursday a few of us headed up to Slam City skate store to go see the Adrian Blanca show. I was really digging his art which was a mix of people skating and nude hot chicks plus there was free beer and tapas which really made it a good night. Stockwell Rules

The other day, Steak, Rob Smith and I went to the newly (almost) finished Stockwell skatepark. The UK's finest gentleman Fos was there also with some homies and we all shredded. Fun times were had by all and shortly after this little clip appeared on the Heroin skateboards website.

We Are...

...pouring concrete out in the hills tomorrow morning. This is what it looks like now; soon the hill will be covered with concrete and we will all be happy. then we can fill it with water. Motley Crue!!

The Sweeney

Each year, the teams who are invited to go on The Big Push are allowed one special guest to accompany them. Last year's special guest travelling with the Death team was Ben Raemers and the year before that it was Ricky Oyola along with his special trouser trumpeting.

This year, enjoying the Big Push regime and no doubt the British summertime weather too is none other than Aaron Sweeney of the Gyppo Army. Expect some truly ridiculous footage to follow.

Big Push Day One

The Big Push is all you're going to hear about for the next few posts here. Hours and hours in a van each day and a gruelling number of skating hours per day under the cracking whip of Dan Cates is what's in store for the young lads in the picture below. All the news of their progress and some fairly unsuitable pictures can also be found here.
